With a PhD in Peace Studies Dr. Geleta has graduate degrees in Theology, Anthropology, Peace Studies, Business Leadership and Change Management. With over twenty years of teaching experience he has a hands on experience in academia and the development industry. He did his post-doctoral fellowship at KAICIID International Dialogue Center, Vienna, Austria. And currently he is an adjunct faculty at the Dialogue Center. He has served at different senior management positions in academic institutions and international NGOs including the Vice President of the Mekane Yesus Seminary and a country director for Life in Abundance, a Christian non-profit organization that works to alleviate poverty, equip the church and help women and young people in job creation through provision of trainings and start up capitals.
Besides, Dr. Geleta has rich experience as a freelance consultant for a number of INGOs and bilateral agencies such as USAID, EU. In addition, he gives short term trainings and public lectures in several international and local platforms. He is a staunch advocate of Pan-Africanism.
Geleta is passionate about cultivating leaders, supporting and training non-governmental actors in alternative thinking as the world is rapidly changing.
